Isuokporo Community in Isu Local Government of Imo State is one that has excellent Traditional Council, says Eze Darlington Ogbenna, the Ezeaneche, Dim Onyere Oha,Dim Amaukwu of Isuokporo Kingdom. Eze Ogbenna stated this while celebrating his Community’s New Yam Festival in his Palace, recently.
The Monarch extolled the Traditional Prime Minister, Chief Jude Chizoba Ibeh, Ugwusinobi of Isuokporo; the Palace Secretary Hon. Chief Casmir Ihekwoeme and other Traditional Chiefs of Isuokporo for their leadership sagacity, openness and commitment to matters that concern the welfare of their respective villages and Isuokporo in general.
Eze Ogbenna underscored the importance of peace in any community, and averred that the Chiefs have lived up to their Traditional duties, hence the enduring peace that has greeted Isuokporo at all times.
The Monarch went into sober mood as he remembered some of the Chiefs who had slept in the Lord, by obeying the contempt of Death which is the Destiny of all mortals, more as he prayed for the repose of their souls, while expressing optimism that in no distant time the affected villages will establish competent replacement.
Speak further the Monarch said he enjoys a wonderful synergy with the Town Union Leadership in Isuokporo, ably led by Chief Joseph Ihekuna,the Ebekuo Dike of Isuokporo.According to him, things are streamlined and labour divided with every Institution knowing the limit of operations,thus, checkmating excesses that could precipitate misunderstanding.
